Doctor
Are you interested in physical activity and rehabilitation, and do you want a job without on-call workload in a dynamic and exciting professional environment?
Beitostølen Health Sports Center (BHSS) is seeking a doctor for a 100% temporary position from February 15, 2027 to March 10, 2028.
The temporary position is available in connection with one of our doctors having LIS service at Sunnaas Hospital.
We need a doctor with clinical experience and professional commitment. The position is particularly suitable for doctors specializing (LIS) in physical medicine and rehabilitation, general practice, pediatrics, child and adolescent medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry and neurology, who are interested in clinical work and developing their expertise in rehabilitation/habilitation with adapted physical activity as the main tool for people with disabilities.
The position is also relevant for qualified specialists who want a medical job in line with the medical role at Beitostølen Health Sports Center (BHSS). There is no on-call duty in the position and we can offer staff housing and excellent indoor and outdoor training facilities. We encourage doctors with experience from unselected general practice and/or an interest in sports medicine to apply.
BHSS is a rehabilitation institution in the specialist health service that provides services to more than 900 patients with various disabilities each year. Activity and participation with a focus on opportunities rather than limitations is an important guideline in the patient service, based on specialized interdisciplinary rehabilitation expertise. We are leaders in the field of adapted physical activity, and combine this with rehabilitation medical, educational and social guidance and follow-up. The institution has an active research environment, employees with university affiliations and extensive national and international collaboration.
The clinic is organized into interdisciplinary teams for children/adolescents, young adults and adults, respectively, who interact with other specialist health services, centers of expertise, municipal services and sports.
BHSS has two permanent medical specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation. We have status as an educational arena within general medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation and a close collaboration with Sunnaas Hospital. Through formalized agreements with two municipalities, we regularly have LIS candidates within general medicine. We see the benefit of prioritizing LIS education courses for candidates within general medicine and other medical specialties in the coming period.
