Beitostølen Health Sports Center offers rehabilitation/habilitation stays for children and adolescents (2-17 years), young adults (18-29 years) and adults (from 30 years) with various diagnoses, disabilities and functional levels. Patients are admitted after referral from a doctor, preferably with additional information from a physiotherapist, occupational therapist or others who know the patient well.

The local environment model

We welcome around 200 students from colleges and universities for study practice each year. Most are students in sports and health sciences. We have physiotherapists on duty at all times. With an interdisciplinary approach and great emphasis on user contact in practice situations, knowledge and attitudes in the field are acquired through an opportunity-oriented approach.

Beitostølen Health Sports Center (BHSS) also offers the entire education course for the medical specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation (FMR) and 6 months of service with relevant learning activities for the medical specialty of General Medicine (AM). Clinical service or internship at BHSS is also a relevant supplementary service and/or continuing education for other medical specialties such as neurology and pediatrics.

Beitostølen Health Sports Center has approximately 130 employees. The staff includes doctors, nurses and health secretaries, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, sports educators, riding instructors, social workers, activity leaders, caretakers, cleaners, kitchen/dining room employees and administrative personnel.

We are looking for a committed nurse who wants a central role in planning, coordination and patient follow-up at Beitostølen Health Sports Center. The position combines nursing work with responsibility for shift planning, staffing, coordination of patient care and development of the subject area Life Management and Health Competence. You will also have an important role in maintaining and further developing nursing quality, competence and practice at the center. With us, you will be an important part of an interdisciplinary environment where activity, mastery and participation are at the center.

Work tasks

  • Prepare and maintain rotations and staffing plans for the nursing service

  • Follow up on daily staffing, payroll and resource planning

  • Administer and coordinate the nursing service at BHSS

  • Conduct nursing assessments and coordinate patient care before and during stays

  • Coordinate companion resources and arrangements related to patient stays

  • Contribute to quality work, preparedness, competence development and follow-up of relevant quality systems

  • Participate in patient-oriented work when needed

  • Contribute to maintaining and further developing nursing quality, practice and competence

  • Coordinate and further develop work within life skills and health literacy

  • Plan, coordinate and, if necessary, carry out education for patients and relatives

Qualifications

  • Licensed nurse with experience from clinical work

  • Experience with shift planning and resource management is an advantage

  • Experience in coordination, administration or patient logistics is desirable.

  • Experience with teaching, supervision or group management is an advantage

  • Good digital skills and interest in digital work tools

  • Good knowledge of Norwegian, both written and spoken.

Personal characteristics

  • You work in a structured, planned and precise manner, even when there are many tasks to be handled at the same time.

  • You have good collaboration and communication skills and the ability to create good relationships with patients, relatives and colleagues.

  • You enjoy coordinating, planning and ensuring good flow in work processes.

  • You have a good understanding of patient care and interaction in interdisciplinary teams.

  • You actively contribute to a good working environment and are happy to share knowledge with others.

  • Personal suitability will be given great importance.

Practical information

  • Salary by agreement

  • Favorable pension agreement in KLP and insurance schemes

  • The position primarily has working hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, but may involve some work in 24-hour shifts if needed and as part of the training.
